About

Developer, tinkerer, detail person.

I'm Tarek, a software developer with six years of experience turning fuzzy ideas into shipped products. I work mostly on the web — TypeScript, React and Next.js on the frontend, Node.js and PostgreSQL behind it.

What pulls me in is the intersection of engineering and craft: performance budgets treated as seriously as feature specs, interfaces that feel obvious to use, codebases the next person enjoys inheriting. I've built documentation platforms, fintech dashboards and open-source tooling along the way.

Away from the keyboard I cook overly ambitious weekend dinners and slowly restore a vintage road bike. I write here about the things I learn the hard way, so you maybe don't have to.
